In July 2026, the French Ministry of Health granted early coverage under the PECAN scheme to a digital medical device (Poppins Clinical) for the rehabilitation of specific learning disorders involving reading deficits. Since the scheme's inception in 2023, all devices granted early coverage have been intended for remote patient monitoring. The decision on Poppins Clinical marks the first PECAN coverage of a therapeutic digital medical device.

As of July 2026, the Aragon Institute of Health Sciences (IACS), one of Spain’s regional health technology assessment bodies, is conducting several HTAs in areas including diagnostic imaging, digital health, and in vitro diagnostics.

In June 2026, two HTA agencies working under the Spanish Network of HTA Agencies (RedETS) released several New and Emerging Health Technology Fact Sheets in cardiovascular, e-health, ENT, gastrointestinal, interventional radiology, neuromodulation, neurosurgery, orthopedics, and radiotherapy fields. On July 1, 2026, the revised EBM (German Uniform Evaluation Standard) catalog for the third quarter of 2026 came into force. The main changes introduced concern updates of the contents (service legends, preambles of several EBM subchapters) and the introduction of several new EBM codes.

In June 2026, Health Technology Wales (HTW) accomplished one full appraisal on cone-beam computed tomography for breast imaging in people with suspected breast cancer. Additionally, three Med Tech-related Topic Exploration Reports were published in the fields of e-health and in vitro diagnostics.

On July 1, 2026, the Belgian National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (INAMI/RIZIV) updated the Nomenclature of healthcare services. Several new procedure codes were introduced concerning neurovascular, gynecology, and eHealth fields.

In June 2026, the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) in England released four Med Tech-related assessments in its HTA Journal, which concerned newborn screening for severe combined immunodeficiency, primary endovascular revascularization procedures for chronic limb-threatening ischemia, placental growth factor (PLGF)-based testing for suspected pre-eclampsia, and digital front door technologies before assessment for NHS Talking Therapies.

On June 9, 2026, the Swiss Federal Office of Public Health published changes to the Healthcare Benefit Ordinance (KLV/OPre), which determines coverage of medical services in Switzerland. The nearest changes will take effect on July 1, 2026, and include the introduction of the first-trimester preeclampsia screening and adjustment of the tariffs for the highest-grossing laboratory analyses (Annex 3 KLV), changes in reimbursement conditions for medical aids via the List of Medical Aids MiGel (Annex 2 KLV), as well as the expansion of the outpatient-before-inpatient policy (Annex 1a KLV) and update of coverage decisions on the List of explicitly evaluated services (Annex 1 KLV).
