Established in Stockholm in 2017, MTRC is now a specialist European MedTech market access advisory firm with a distributed European team of around 30 in-house consultants, analysts, physicians, health economists, evidence synthesis specialists, and senior advisors.
We focus exclusively on medical technologies, including medical devices, IVDs, and digital health solutions. Unlike generalist life sciences consultancies, we do not work on pharmaceutical projects. This dedicated focus allows us to build deeper expertise in reimbursement, HTA, payer decision-making, evidence requirements, and health economics for the MedTech sector.
MTRC specializes in multi-country European projects. Since 2017, we have completed more than 1,050 projects across 14 European countries. Our team combines in-house expertise with selected senior country specialists and works across major European languages, including English, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Polish.

Meet the Founder
Oleg Borisenko, MD, PhD, is the founder and Director of MTRC and one of the most experienced specialists in the MedTech market access globally.
Oleg has 15 years of experience in MedTech reimbursement, market access, health economics, and evidence strategy. Before establishing MTRC, he served as Director of Market Access and Health Economics at Synergus AB in Stockholm, Sweden.
Throughout his career, Oleg has supervised more than 2,000 projects, including reimbursement mappings and strategies, value dossiers, systematic literature reviews, health economic models, and within-trial economic evaluations. He combines a broad strategic understanding of European market access with hands-on expertise in reimbursement, HTA, evidence synthesis, and health economics.
Oleg is the author of Gateway to Europe: The Definitive Guide to Medical Device Market Access, a practical guide to reimbursement, HTA, payer approval, evidence, pricing, and market access strategy for medical technologies in Europe.
Earlier in his career, Oleg contributed to the Cochrane Acute Respiratory Infections and Effective Practice and Organisation of Care Review Groups. He also held the position of Affiliated Researcher at Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, where he was involved in research focused on improving the Swedish healthcare system.
Oleg is currently a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Medical Economics.
