Italy updated its application process for prioritization under the National HTA Program

On September 22, 2026, the Italian Agency for Regional Healthcare Services (AGENAS) updated the application process for the National HTA Program for Medical Devices (PNHTA-DM) 2026-2028.

The key updates include a new version of the application form, the Health Technology Reporting Form. Stakeholders wishing to submit a health technology for consideration and potential subsequent selection for National HTA must complete the form and send it by email to [email protected].

Eligible applicants include manufacturers and their associations, regions, hospitals, National Health Service (NHS) professionals, scientific societies, research institutions, patients, and patient representative associations.

Submitted forms will be considered as part of the prioritization process every six months. Prioritization meetings will be held in July and December.

The submission deadlines are defined as follows:

• First-semester prioritization meeting: submission deadline is May 15;
• Second-semester prioritization meeting: submission deadline is October 15.
