The second release of the DRG package for 2027 was published in the Netherlands

On October 1, 2026, the Dutch Healthcare Authority (NZa) published the second release of the DRG package for 2027 (RZ27b) that applies to specialist medical care and geriatric rehabilitation care.

A single new procedure is introduced for tonsillotomy. No new diagnosis codes or DRGs are introduced. Nine new supplementary payments (OZPs) are related to consultation on oral and maxillofacial surgery, consultations in relation to euthanasia, and smoking cessation programs. The other changes include technical changes, entitlement modifications, and tariff updates.

The effective date of the release is January 1, 2027.
