Rapid HTAs of four medical devices released in Tuscany in July 2026
Tuscany remains the most active Italian region in conducting HTA for medical devices, with HTA-based recommendations influencing regional adoption and procurement decisions.
Under Regional Decree No.15906 of July 10, 2026, the Tuscany Regional Healthcare Authority released four new rapid HTA reports. The assessed technologies covered cardiovascular and peripheral vascular fields, diabetic foot treatment, and cell therapies.
Three devices received favorable purchase recommendations. Some examples are provided below:
- BeGraft Plus stent graft system for branched endovascular aneurysm repair (BEVAR) procedures (by Bentley);
- SedimSure, a sedimentation aid for the addition to anticoagulated harvests of hematopoietic stem cells in volume reduction procedures (by WAK - Chemie Medical).
