New procedure codes were added to the Belgian Nomenclature in July 2026

On July 1, 2026, the Belgian National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (INAMI/RIZIV) updated ten articles of the Nomenclature of healthcare services. Changes included the introduction of several new procedure codes with physician fees and associated conditions in the neurovascular, gynecology, and eHealth fields, as well as modifications to reimbursement conditions for several existing codes.

Examples of newly added codes include “Radiofrequency endometrial ablation” with fees for a gynecologist, and “Patient monitoring using validated questionnaires and/or measurements of relevant physiological and functional parameters transmitted digitally to the healthcare provider, over a 7-day period (Monday to Sunday), including an intermediate video contact” with fees for a physiotherapist.
