Health technology assessments initiated in the second quarter of 2026 in Poland

The Agency for Health Technology Assessment and Tariff System (AOTMiT) initiated seventeen new health technology assessments in Poland in the second quarter of 2026. The assessments mainly cover cardiovascular medicine, diagnostic imaging, e-health, in-vitro diagnostics, pulmonology, and neurology.

Examples of the topics of the initiated assessments are provided below.

  • Cardiac MRI with stress perfusion assessment;
  • Determination of anti-IA2 and anti-ZnT8 antibodies in the diagnosis of type 1 diabetes in children and adults;
  • Ergospitrometry;
  • Multi-day monitoring of cardiac activity using analog or digital devices;
  • Outpatient polygraphy to confirm the diagnosis of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), as well as continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) monitoring and titration.
