Published hospital-based HTA in Finland as of August 2026

In August 2026, the Finnish Coordinating Center for Health Technology Assessment (FinCCHTA) announced that five rapid hospital assessments had been completed. 

Three assessments were performed by the Tampere University Hospital. The use of the following technologies was endorsed:

  • Transvenous endovascular treatment of an arteriovenous malformation;
  • Bariatric surgery as a day surgery procedure;
  • Intravascular ultrasound in deep vein thrombosis.
