Publication Digest: A European framework for the assessment of digital health technologies: conceptual advances, challenges, and future directions

MTRC shares the most relevant and impactful publications in the field of market access and HEOR for medical technologies in Europe through its Publications Digest. 

In a recent publication, de Waure et al. presented the conceptual foundation of the European Digital Health Technology Assessment (EDiHTA) framework, developed to support the assessment of digital health technologies across EU member states. The authors highlighted the fragmentation of existing European assessment approaches and the limited suitability of traditional HTA frameworks for capturing DHT-specific characteristics. The proposed framework is intended to provide a comprehensive and flexible approach applicable across different types of DHTs and stages of their lifecycle.
