Publication Digest: Designing and Implementing Real-World Patient-Reported Outcomes-Emerging Recommendations: A Good Practices Report of an ISPOR Task Force

In a recent publication, Rylands et al. developed an ISPOR good-practices framework for collecting patient-reported outcomes in real-world studies. The framework covers nine key areas, including patient partnership, fit-for-purpose instruments, data quality, pragmatic implementation, and rigorous analysis. Its adoption may improve the reliability of real-world patient-reported outcomes and support more patient-centered regulatory and HTA decision-making.
