Reimbursement application

In October 2026, the Swiss Organization for Outpatient Medical Tariffs (OAAT AG) announced changes to the application process for further development of the national outpatient reimbursement system, comprising TARDOC and outpatient flat-rate tariffs. The changes introduce formal prioritization criteria for tariff development proposals and expand direct access to the online application platform for eligible applicants. The next application cycle, covering Tariff Version 2029, will open in February 2027.

In July 2026, the French National Authority for Health (HAS) updated its guidance on submitting dossiers for an economic opinion by the Economic and Public Health Evaluation Commission (CEESP). The update includes a procedural guide on pre-submission meetings with the HAS Economic Evaluation Service. These meetings are intended to help manufacturers identify the most appropriate methodological choices and prepare economic evaluations that are consistent with HAS recommendations.

The application window for changes in the Swiss Classification of Surgical Procedures (CHOP) is open from June 1 to September 14, 2026. The application window for changes in the SwissDRG system is open from June 1 to July 13, 2026. The eligible applicants in both processes are limited to system stakeholders.

In April 2026, the Danish Health Data Authority opened the application period for changes to the 2028 DRG logic, including the creation of new DRG codes and modifications to the grouping logic for existing DRGs. The application deadline is October 30, 2026.

The application window for changes in the Swiss Classification of Surgical Operations (CHOP) will open on June 1, 2026. Interested parties can submit applications until September 14, 2026. The announcement of the 2026 CHOP application period resumes the application process, which was cancelled for the year 2025.

In early February 2026, the French National Authority for Health (HAS) opened the call for applications for the evaluation of medical procedures and in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) tests to be included in its 2027 working program. The deadline for submission is May 4, 2026.

From February 1 to April 30, 2026, the OAAT AG (the entity managing the new Swiss outpatient reimbursement system) is accepting applications for the modifications of the TARDOC and Outpatient flat rates. Submitted proposals will be reviewed within the annual tariff development process, validated by the OAAT Board of Directors, and subsequently submitted to the Federal Council for final approval and publication.

In late November – early December 2025, the application period for 2027 OPS (procedure codes) and DRG changes was opened by the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) and the Institute for Hospital Remuneration Systems (INeK), respectively.

On May 17, 2024, the French National Authority for Health (HAS) announced the start of the application period for evaluating procedures and IVD tests to be included in the 2025 HAS working program.
