MTRC Welcomes Markus Siebert, Founder of Metis Market Access, as Strategic Advisor

MTRC is pleased to announce that Markus Siebert, Founder of Metis Market Access, has joined the company as Strategic Advisor.

Markus brings more than 25 years of international leadership experience in reimbursement, health economics, and market access strategy across Europe and Asia-Pacific. As Founder of Metis Market Access, a Belgium-based advisory firm, he works with medical technology companies to design market access strategies starting from the ultimate reimbursement objective — engineering clinical and evidence strategies backwards from payer expectations to ensure sustainable commercial success.

Prior to launching Metis Market Access, Markus spent nearly nine years at Abbott as Senior Director Reimbursement & Healthcare Economics International, where he led reimbursement strategies and health economic evidence development across EMEA, Asia, and Australia. Earlier, he held multiple international leadership roles at St. Jude Medical, overseeing reimbursement and health economics across global divisions.

Beyond corporate leadership, Markus has played an influential role in European medtech policy and industry collaboration. He served as Chair of the Evidence & Payers Working Group at MedTech Europe (formerly Eucomed), chaired working groups on Economics and Telemonitoring, represented industry at the European Society of Cardiology Cardiovascular Roundtable and the HTAi Policy Forum, and co-initiated the European Health Technology Institute (EHTI), where he served as Board Member.

In his role as Strategic Advisor to MTRC, Markus will support the company’s long-term strategic positioning, international market access planning, and evidence-based value development across its portfolio.
