Updates of the Belgian List of reimbursable devices in April 2026

In March 2026, the Belgian National Institute for Health and Disability Insurance (INAMI/RIZIV) updated the List of implants and invasive medical devices, effective April 1, 2026. The devices on the List are allocated to the material code and tariff (fee-for-service), which allows hospitals to receive reimbursement.

One new material code was added to the List:

• 187110-187121 “Invasive ablation device, used during a procedure, including all accessories, for the radiofrequency ablation of benign thyroid nodules”.

Furthermore, Nominative lists were updated in March 2026, effective April 1, 2026. These lists specify certain brands in connection with material codes on the List of implants and invasive medical devices, when brand-specific registration is required.

Several new devices were added in the cardiovascular, neurovascular, orthopedics, and some other fields.
