Market Access Manager (full-time, remote)
MTRC, a leading Med Tech market access consultancy in Europe, is looking for a Market Access Manager.
MTRC has 28 full-time employees and multiple part-time consultants. Offices are located in the UK (HEOR), Spain (Market Access), and Bulgaria (Billing and Contracting). Most of the employees are home-based. MTRC provides support to large Med Tech corporations (80% of the business) and SMEs (20% of the business) in the fields of market access analysis and strategy, Evidence Synthesis (value dossiers and literature reviews, reimbursement and HTA submissions), and Health Economics. MTRC provides regular support to 19 out of the top 30 global medical device companies.
The Market Access Manager supports client-facing market access work across Europe, helping translate client questions into clear country logic, technically credible scopes, proposal inputs, and practical recommendations for MedTech and IVD.
We are looking for an experienced person with strong market access knowledge, ideally across multiple European countries, and real experience in MedTech, Pharma, HEOR, reimbursement, or life sciences consulting. The person should be able to discuss reimbursement, HTA, payer / decision-maker approval, evidence requirements, and country-specific access pathways with confidence, clarity, and commercial maturity.
The role is at the intersection of Market Access, Client Engagement, Proposal Support, and EU country strategy. It requires high analytical ability, excellent attention to detail, strong written and spoken English, and charismatic, client-facing communication.
The position is home-based, reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer of the company.
Compensation includes a package of fixed salary, quarterly, and annual bonuses.
Responsibilities include:
Client engagement
Supporting or leading first substantive client calls for standard and moderately complex market access opportunities
Clarifying client technology, indication, setting, comparator, target countries, commercial objective, and decision context, identifying client needs
Scoping and proposals
Translating client needs into clear scope, methodology, deliverables, timelines, assumptions, and exclusions
Supporting preparation of precise, client-specific, and commercially useful proposal content
Delivery and meetings
Leading client communication throughout projects, including kick-off, interim review, and delivery meetings, and addressing follow-up questions with clear, commercially relevant recommendations
Handing over won projects to the production team with full context
Market Access Analysis
Contributing as a reviewer or consultant to Market Access, Evidence Synthesis, and Health Economics projects, providing strategic, methodological, and client-ready input
Curating project deliverables with the team by confirming scope, checking alignment with client expectations, and conducting scoping, interim, and final review meetings with project teams
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in market access, reimbursement, HEOR, pricing and market access, MedTech consulting, pharma market access, life sciences consulting, or adjacent client-facing advisory work
Strong understanding of reimbursement, HTA, payer / decision-maker approval, evidence requirements, and European market access pathways
Direct MedTech, IVD, medical device, digital health, or pharma market access experience; MedTech / device exposure is strongly preferred
Experience with EU market access, ideally across multiple countries
Experience participating in or leading client calls, workshops, proposal scoping, market access discussions, or delivery meetings
Experience preparing client presentations, proposals, scopes of work, reimbursement assessments, HTA strategy documents, evidence gap analyses, value communication materials, or access plans
High analytical ability and strong attention to detail; ability to synthesize complex information across countries, technologies, and access pathways
Strong, confident, charismatic communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent written and spoken English
