Client Engagement Manager, Market Access (full-time, remote)

MTRC, a leading boutique Med Tech market access consultancy in Europe, is looking for a Client Engagement Manager.

MTRC has 22 full-time employees and multiple part-time consultants. Offices are located in the UK (HEOR), Spain (Market Access) and Bulgaria (Billing and Contracting). Most of the employees are home-based. MTRC provides support to large Med Tech corporations (80% of the business) and SMEs (20% of the business) in the fields of market access analysis and strategy, Evidence Synthesis (value dossiers and literature reviews, reimbursement and HTA submissions), and Health Economics. MTRC provides regular support to 19 out of the top 30 global medical device companies.

The Client Engagement Manager leads the first substantive client conversation, translates client needs into a suitable MTRC service scope, prepares clear and commercially attractive proposals, and supports selected client meetings during project delivery.

We are looking for an experienced person with a real understanding of market access, well-versed in the Med Tech industry or life science consulting, able to lead client calls and shape proposals end-to-end. The role is at the intersection of Market Access, Customer Support and Sales, focusing on understanding the client’s needs and what capabilities of our top-of-the-market team can satisfy them best. 

The position is home-based (Europe only), reporting directly to the Head of Commercial Growth.

Compensation includes a package of fixed salary, quarterly, and annual bonuses.

Responsibilities include:

Client engagement

  • Leading first calls and clarifying client needs, target countries, and decision context

  • Acting as the client's main point of contact through proposal, kick-off, and delivery

Proposals and scoping

  • Translating client needs into clear scope, deliverables, timelines, and assumptions

  • Preparing technical proposals and shaping commercial framing together with the Head of Commercial Growth

Pricing and margin

  • Applying pricing rules and flagging margin or scope risks

  • Avoiding default discounting and recommending pricing adjustments where justified

Delivery and meetings

  • Handing over won projects to the production team with full context

  • Facilitating kick-off, interim, and final client meetings

Commercial intelligence

  • Capturing client insights, objections, and cross-sell opportunities in CRM

Requirements:

  • 5–10 years of experience in market access, reimbursement, HEOR, medtech, or life sciences consulting

  • Good understanding of reimbursement, HTA, payer approval, and evidence requirements; medtech or IVD exposure preferred

  • Experience participating in or leading client calls

  • Customer-centricity

  • Experience preparing proposals, scopes of work, or technical-commercial offers

  • Excellent written and spoken English

  • Strong, confident communication and interpersonal skills
